"After seeing the stock cooler only keep down the temperature for seconds before going up to almost the boiling point of water I firmly believe people with high end graphic cards should invest in a good cooler.  As you can see from the benchmark GeLid Solution’s Icy Vision did a awesome job of keeping down VGA temperatures.  The installation took a little longer than I thought it would and the instructions were a tad cumbersome to decipher but in the end it was totally worth it. I think the results speak for themselves with this product. I would most definitely recommend a Gelid Icy Vision VGA cooler to anyone who has a supported graphics card and is not happy with their aftermarket cooling or only has stock cooling."

"Firma GLEID Solutions również nie ma się czego wstydzić. Ich najnowszy produkt okazał się zdecydowanie wydajniejszy niż przeciętne coolery. Wyróżnia go szeroka kompatybilność oraz bogate wyposażenie. Jak do tego dołożymy łatwy i szybki montaż oraz ciekawy i oryginalny design to mamy wizję niezwykle udanego urządzenia. Osiągi Solutions Icy Vision są bardzo obiecujące – nie wymyślono jeszcze karty graficznej, której nie schłodzi ten cooler. Przy napięciu 12V dwa 92mm wentylatory okazują się stosunkowo głośne, jednak dzięki bardzo dobrej konstrukcji obroty możemy spokojnie zmniejszyć nie zwiększając znacząco temperatury GPU. Cena tego rozwiązania to 35 Euro, czyli około 140 PLN. Za taką sumę to bardzo opłacalny wybór, ponieważ trudno mi znaleźć na rynku inne chłodzenie, które możemy pochwalić się takim stosunkiem ceny do wydajności. Przyznajemy wyróżnienie Best Buy!"

"Der GELID-Kühler Icy Vision ist in der zweiten Revision ein wahres Luftkühlwunder. Die erreichten Werte schonen die Hardware um Längen besser, als es die vormontierte Kühllösung kann. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und solide bei einem hinnehmbaren Preis. Das Design ist ansprechend wie funktional, zumal die Kompatibilität sowohl zwischen den Herstellern als auch den unterschiedlichen Modellen gegeben ist.  Lediglich die Tatsache, dass der neue Kühler nicht an die ursprüngliche Spannungsversorgung des original-Kühlers angeschlossen werden kann, ist aufgrund der dauerhaft hohen Drehzahl bei 12 Volt als störend einzuordnen. Eine Möglichkeit der automatischen temperaturgesteuerten Regulierung über die Grafikkarte besteht trotz des beigelegten Adapters leider nicht. Somit ist man auf eine Lüftersteuerung angewiesen. Auch wenn die Lüfter eine enorme Laufruhe aufweisen und die Lager nicht hörbar sind, ist der Luftstrom eine störende Lärmquelle. Zudem geht durch den Umbau der Grafikkarte die Garantie des Herstellers verloren,
auch wenn man dies höchstwahrscheinlich gegen die höhere Lebenserwartung einer womöglich teuren Hardwarekomponente eintauscht."

"Das junge Unternehmen GELID Solutions kann auf ihren ersten VGA-Kühler, der nun in der zweiten Revision erschienen ist, zu recht stolz sein. Bei der Konstruktion des VGA-Kühlers und der verwendeten Materialien wurde die Qualität wohl groß geschrieben und das bei einem sehr guten Verkaufspreis. Auch wenn die Verpackung auf den ersten Blick nicht sehr viel versprechend wirkt, macht das die Kühlleistung wieder wett. Die Vorbereitung der Passiv-Kühler ist etwas zeit- und auch nervraubend. Diese muss man nämlich vor der Montage erst einmal mit den Thermal-Pads versehen. Hier hätte GELID auch eine andere Lösung finden können. An der Verarbeitung des ICY Vision Rev. 2 konnten wir nichts beanstanden, auch die Montage war dank der mehrsprachigen Anleitung recht gut erklärt. Die Kühlleistung ist dank der 2 x 92mm Lüfter sehr gut. Selbst als wir unsere Testkarte mit erhöhtem Takt und zugleich angehobener Spannung betrieben hatten, lagen die Temperaturen noch deutlich unter der maximal zulässigen Höchsttemperatur von 105°C, die NVIDIA vorgibt. Leider war es nicht möglich die Lüfter über die Grafikkarte zu regulieren, somit ist die Geräuschkulisse bei 100% Lüfterspeed nicht gerade etwas für Silent-Freaks. Aber dank des beiliegenden Adapter Kabels verrichtet der Kühler auch mit verminderter Lüfterumdrehung seine Arbeit. In der Zeit der Modder dürften die UV-reaktiven Lüfter ein zusätzliches Highlight sein. Alles im Allem hat GELID Solutions mit ihrem ersten Grafikkarten-Kühler nichts falsch gemacht. Durch die zweite Ausführung ist es nun auch möglich, die top-aktuellen Grafikkarten mehr ausreichend zu kühlen. Der Straßenpreis liegt bei ungefähr 35,00€ (Stand: 11.2010). Auch wenn man etwas Zeit für den Umbau investieren muss, erhält man doch ein klasse Gesamtpaket."

"Il nostro primo contatto con un prodotto Gelid Solutions è stato davvero positivo. Le prestazioni dell’Icy Vision Rev. 2 sono davvero interessanti. La qualità costruttiva è davvero buona; il bundle è ricco e consente l’installazione su una vasta gamma di schede video. Apprezziamo anche la presenza di un tubetto di ottima pasta termica prodotta dalla casa. Le uniche note di demerito sono relative alle ventole poco curate esteticamente, almeno per ciò che concerne la scocca nera in plastica, e alla lappatura non perfetta. Il prezzo consigliato da Gelid Solutions per questo dissipatore è di 46€, cifra a cui possiamo acquistarlo su e-bay da rivenditori stranieri. Purtroppo il prezzo negli e-shop italiani è di circa 60€. Nel complesso il prezzo proposto dalla casa è sicuramente adeguato alle prestazioni e alla qualità del prodotto."

Me ha gustado tanto que lo he bautizado como “heat killer”… todavía me saltan las lágrimas cuando he visto esa diferencia de 15ºC mientras jugaba al EVE Online. En cuanto a la sonoridad, debo destacar tanto un aspecto positivo como otro negativo. El positivo es que los ventiladores son realmente silenciosos, se mantienen al nivel del resto de la caja con tan solo 26dB y te acostumbras rápidamente a ello. El punto negativo es que con el conector estándar no puedes controlar las revoluciones de los mismos y siempre funcionan al máximo. Para hacerlo, debes conectar el adaptador incluído en el paquete y conectarlo a un conector FAN de la placa base. El punto flaco de este disipador, como he comentado antes, es que debido a que sobresale más de la cuenta, tapa los puertos SATA de la placa base. Sin embargo esto no es un inconveniente para placas base modernas, en las que los puertos SATA vienen colocados de forma lateral."

"Der Grafikkartenkühler ICY Vision von Gelid bietet jedenfalls hohe Reserven und so haben die Doppellüfter auch mit einer gedrosselten 7-Volt-Einstellung das übertakten auf 900 MHz spielend gemeistert. Doch die Reserven kann man mit einer Standardkarte nicht wirklich nutzen, da man sie gar nicht so hoch takten kann, um den Kühler in Bedrängnis zu bringen. Hier braucht man schon ein frei geschaltetes 3D-Board, mit dem man die GPU durch Spannungserhöhung stabilisieren kann, was mehr Hitze erzeugt und höhere Taktraten erlauben würde. Die Standardwerte von zusätzlichen 50 bis 80 MHz steckt der Kühler jedenfalls locker weg.Gedrosselt auf 7 Volt bleibt der ICY Vision mit 37 dB(A) sehr leise. Mit den Reserven, die der Kühler hat, kann man aus der Radeon HD 5870 eine leicht übertaktete Silent-OC-Grafikkarte machen. Standard-Board und ICY-Kühler kosten auch nicht mehr als eine optimierte OC-Retailkarte. Überraschend gut waren die Ergebnisse der Wärmeleitpaste GC Extreme. Die beigelegte GC 2 erfüllt ihren Zweck, aber 10 Prozent weniger Kerntemperatur bei der GPU sind nicht zu verachten."

"Temperature wise these two aftermarket coolers are evenly matched. Price wise, again they are evenly matched at 55 USD. Which to me is a fair price for such good GPU coolers. Now which brings me to installation for my grading. Zalman VF3000A cooler was a lot easier GPU cooler to install compared to the GELID Solutions Icy Vision. But there is that issue regarding the memory/VRM heatsink not wanting to stay on. Which I ended up having to use another VRM heatsink to review this GPU cooler. You do what you got to do, to get the job done. Compatibility wise, it appears the VF3000A can fit a Nvidia based video card (based on visual look) but it is not mentioned on the instruction manual, or at Zalman's web site. This video card cooler is specifically designed for the ATI 58xx series video cards. The Icy Vision from GELID Solutions, can be fitted to both ATI and Nvidia based video cards. 9 of 10"

"Bez wątpienia Gelid ICY Vision jest bardzo dobrym chłodzeniem i jedynym dzisiaj dostępnym by schłodzić Geforce-a GTX480/470. Gelid wykonał kawał dobrej roboty jak na pierwsze chłodzenie GPU tej firmy. Jakość wykonania stoi na wysokim poziomie lecz wkradło się małe niedopracowanie z dociskiem ( pozbyć się podkładek ). Po znalezieniu przyczyny złego docisku chłodzenie prezentowało wysoką wydajność i znacznie lepszy poziom akustyczny niż referencyjne chłodzenie Oczywistym jest że ICY Vision przeznaczony jest dla graczy i osób lubiących pokazać swój sprzęt. Chłodzenie pojawiło się na rynku w bardzo dobrym okresie dla użytkowników AMD i Nvidia, którzy kupują najlepsze karty graficzne wydajnościowo, szczególnie fanów NVidia. Instalacja chłodzenia nie należy do najprostszych, ale po przeczytaniu instrukcji nawet osoby pierwszy raz instalujące chłodzenie sobie z tym poradzą, szkoda że brak opisu w języku polskim. Wielką zaletą jest duża kompatybilność tego chłodzenia."

"Отличная система охлаждения для видеокарт - что еще сказать о GELID ICY VISION. Преимущество более чем в 30 градусов относительно штатной системы охлаждения говорит о многом. Даже ревущая на 100% скорости турбина не может сравниться с ней по производительности. Свечение лопастей в УФ-лучах наверняка понравится и простым пользователям, и моддерам.
