Extremely Quiet by Patented Fan Casing
The low speed 92 mm fan reduces the noise level to a minimum.
The patented fan holder is able to practically eliminate the typical buzzing sound of 92 mm fans.
Patent No 203 07 981 U1 (Germany)
Patent No 10/834 232 (USA)
The PWM chip in the motor allows an exact fan speed control over the BIOS. (4 wire)

The Fluid Dynamic Bearing keeps oil inside the bearing and thus reduce friction inbetween and keep the noise level to a minimum.

Integrated Cooling of Voltage Converters
Air is drawn in from the top.
Some air is blown out to all four directions in order to cool the voltage converters and chipset.

Patented Vibration Absorption
The four rubber connectors on the fan case act as a vibration damper to absorb the vibration of the running fan and prevent vibration transfer to the heatsink and the case.

All Round Modders: Alpine 64

Arctic Cooling's mission here was to keep the CPU within safe operating temperatures, while being extremely quiet about it. I could not hear the Alpine64 during testing. The cooler is of high quality, with special emmaphsis being placed on the fan. Arctic Cooling also includes a massive 6 year warranty for the Alpine 64 and with a RRP of about R159.95, this cooler is a bargin. The Alpine64 is not too big in size and should be compatible with most, if not all, motherboards. If your looking for budget replacement, this cooler is perfect. If your looking for performance, consider Arctic Cooling's Freezer 64 Pro. The Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 is awarded the All Round Modders Price vs. Performance Silver Award.

IXBT: Alpine 64

Standing on commonwealth of proprietary fan and well-developed heatsink, Alpine 64 managed to show very interesting functionality, it combines high thermal efficiency together with ergonomic noise levels and brings leading performance-noise value.

IXBT: Alpine 7

Alpine 7 managed to get in 'technical vanguard', and mainly because of its truly ergonomic noise characteristics.

DragonSteelMods: Alpine 64

We have here a CPU Cooler that cools almost as well as a liquid cooling system and is virtually . Yes, there are others that cool better but at the sacrifice of listening to the whine of a loud fan. I don't know about you but I prefer a very quiet computer, as quiet as possible actually. If you are not overclocking and you are looking for an excellent performing CPU cooler that is almost silent then you might want to consider the Alpine 64 and get rid of that loud stock cooler. I was actually thinking of using the Alpine 64 in my HTPC system as that is really something that needs to be as quiet as possible, it would be perfect for that. We learned that what we think we know about CPU coolers is not quite true, sometimes a smooth mirror finish base is not what we think it is. Arctic Cooling has shown us that thermal transfer can be done very effectively with a rough based CPU Cooler. We may just have to rethink things here huh? The Alpine 64 proves that smoothness isn't everything, and silence is truly golden. DragonSteelMods gives the Alpine64 from Arctic Cooling a 5 out of 5 score.

RubyWorks: Alpine

Both Alpine coolers are superb for their price. The Alpine 64 at $12.99 and the Alpine 7 at $13.99 are GREAT alternatives to the stock heatsinks. The Alpine 64 performs better than stock AMD cooler whilst being quiet. on the other hand the Alpine 7 does not beat the stock Intel HSF but the stock Intel HSF is very noisy at 100% fan speed, and therefore the Alpine 7 gives a better temperature to noise ratio than the stock Intel. While the Alpine series of coolers isn't built for the overclocking crowd, the rest of the community of gamers and enthusiast will find it to be an inexpensive upgrade from a stock CPU cooler. At the end of the day I give the Alpine coolers a 9 out of 10. In addition, I award it the RubyWorks Value Award for its great performance at a minimal price.

BleedinEdge: Alpine 64

The Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 offers stock performance at a fantastic price. The Alpine 64 retails for $13.95 at FrozenCPU, which is an excellent deal no matter how you look at it. This cooler is designed to be used as a basic stock cooler, as shown by its performance on our overclocked CPU. It comes with everything you need to get up and running and the installation is very simple. The Alpine 64 would be a good choice for someone purchasing a CPU without a heatsink. Just don't plan on doing any overclocking.

Silenthardware: Alpine 64

A Byte Apart: Alpine 64

Whilst the Alpine64 is no overclockers wet-dream when it comes to CPU cooling, it does have some excellent features which when added together make it well worth considering if you wish to replace your stock cooler. Its as near to silent as is possible from an air cooled device, it really is difficult to tell if its running at all by sound alone. The quality of construction is excellent but best of all is the cost. I deliberately havnt touched on this until now, since if you were to have seen the cost early on, you may have dismissed the Alpine64 as a cheap piece of aluminium junk, which it very oviously isnt. Thats rediculously cheap to be honest and makes the Alpine64 worthy of an 8 out of 10.

PC-Attitude:

"The fans we tested are in good quality but the one of Arctic Cooling is the most effective one. While remaining it's very quiet and it costes only 15€. Therefore we gave the Alpine 64 our gold medal."

Silentmodding: Alpine 64

PC Ekspert: Alpine 64

Arctic Cooling's effort to make a cheap, silent and overall better cooler than AMD`s BOX cooler has fully succeeded. Alpine 64 takes the lead when it comes to raise the bar higher. We praise the unique technique of joining the fan with the body of cooler. It greatly reduces vibrations and noise generated by the fan and it is much more quieter than the fan on BOX cooler. Simple installation of Alpine 64 is a big plus and it`s even simpler and more elegant than installation of AMD`s BOX cooler. With a retail price of approximately 12 USD in Croatian IT stores, this cooler will satisfy less demanding users who above all cherish quiet computing and don`t care about the megahertz chase. Still, Alpine 64 handles fairly well even when pitched against overclocked processor.

Extremesystems-uk: Alpine 64

The new Alpine 64 heatsink is one of the best heatsinks I have seen for a while, even though there is no copper or copper base on the heatsink itself. The fan only runs at 2000rpm with a whopping 36CFM cooling the CPU down and is less noisy than the stock AMD heatsink which has the fans running higher and noisier with less air flow. The installation was a breeze, much easier that most heatsinks like the stock one by AMD. Even the instructions that came with the heatsink were straightforward and easy to follow; there was no mis-leading information that sometimes does happen.

Overclockers Online: Alpine 64

The Alpine 64 presents some stiff competition, especially when its price is taken into consideration. For a price of approximately $15, the Alpine 64 is an excellent choice for those who want to replace their noisy stock cooler with a more efficient and quieter cooling solution. Overall, the Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 is an excellent heatsink and a solid choice for those looking for either a low cost replacement for their stock cooler or a quiet cooler to use with their OEM processor.

NOTICIAS3D: Alpine 64

The Alpine 64 achieves great temperatures even with an Athlon FX-60. It's about 10% lower than the AMD BOX stock cooler at full load, but with near zero noise and zero vibration/buzzing. Furthermore this is at 840rpm less and an incridible price of 10€ here in Spain. We have no doubt that the Alpine 64 deserves our best award, the Recommended Product Award, but it's also because of quality, price and performance.

Rex Ware: Alpine

The Alpine series provides good performances for a non overclocked processor. By its silence, it makes of it a good alternative for the original ventirad of the PC. Sold 14,35€, it is far from expensive.

DeXgo: Alpine 7

Madshrimps: Alpine 64

The Alpine 64 might not be for everybody out there, but those who want to swap out their stock AMD cooler with the aim to drop overall noise and don’t seek to lower CPU temperatures extremely this heatsink is extremely interesting at its very low price point. If you are not into overclocking/overvolting your CPU the Alpine 64 will be good enough for even the highest rated Athlon X2 / FX series of processors; but there won’t be much headroom left in the cooling department.

Cabrabytes: Alpine 64

Arctic Cooling has fulfilled its assignment, when offering to us a product that replaces cosmelling efficiently stock of our Athlon 64 reducing to the temperatures and the noise of our system to the minimum. It is possible to emphasize that this it is not a product oriented when overclocker, although we have certain margin thanks to the reduction of temperatures. We recommended this product for the usuary means that it wants to reduce its temperatures of operation without affecting its hours of dream.

Guru 3D: Alpine 64

Looking at the results, the Alpine 64 definitely outperforms the stock heatsink and it's fine for a little overclocking. This heatsink is everything the average enthusiast could want. It's easy to install, it's cheap (MSRP (excl. VAT): 15.50 USD / 12.90 EUR) The rubber fan mounts on top ('Oscillation Dampeners') and fluid dynamic bearings are also an ingenius design, and an added extra you don't normally see at this price point. I unplugged all other fans in the case and could not hear the Alpine 64 at all. To sum it all up, if you've just bought an OEM CPU and wondering what heatsink to get, have a limited budget, but want silence and performance, then this heatsink is for you!

Hardware-Review: Alpine 64

I was thoroughly impressed with our performance test results and would recommend this to anyone who’s looking to replace their stock cooler. The temps under load conditions plummeted with the Alpine64. Even after hours of gaming, photo editing, and web designing my temps never dropped below 37c! That's a huge performance difference between the stock cooler. Also I was equally thrilled about how silent this solution was. I hear my other fans much more than the fan on the Alpine64. Although this heatsink isn’t much to look at, it definite comes through in with excellent temps. All in all, the Alpine64 received a my coveted Editor's Choice Award, and Hardware-Review.net's Seal of Approval.

Tech Source Reviews: Alpine

The Alpine series performed very well throughout our stress testing. These coolers are definitely a worthy alternative to the stock coolers. In general, we were pleased with the overall performance, and again, Arctic Cooling displays the importance of quietness even for lower-end users.

PC-Modders: Alpine 7

Arctic Cooling's Alpine cooler is incredible silent. The perfect balance between necessary cooling and noise. A wonderful choice if you're bothered with noise from your computer. Within a nice package, you get an easy installable cooler. The special fan feature sound absorbing rubber suspensions, which takes care of much irritating noise. Alpine gave us a bit hotter CPU on idle than the boxed cooler, but inchange of much lower noise we like it. And as we can see, on the illustrated image, the fan blows air over other components as well. A great low noise CPU cooler. Thumbs up.

59hardware: Alpine 64

It was the “small one” of our comparative, it was supposed to provide us with a traditional comparison to other more sophisticated solution. The surprise was big! Indeed, it had a very good cooling, especially at 12 Volts. For the noise level, it is also in the high part of the table, this for a price defying any competition and a good ease of assembly.

Technic3D: Alpine 7

Red & Blackness Hardware Reviews: Alpine 64

My first thoughts of the Alpine 64 were just that of a regular budget priced cooler, not much; but after testing I was a little surprised. While it may not be able to bring your CPU to new extreme speeds, it managed to keep my AMD64 quiet cool even with minor overclocking. With Arctic Coolings fan holder, it manages to do this while remaining almost completely silent. Costing one third of what many coolers on the market do today, anyone looking for a new HSF should definitely look into this great product from Arctic Cooling.

Frosty Tech: Alpine 64

The FrostyTech synthetic thermal test results clearly place the Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 heatsink in a mainstream position. The heatsink handles the temperatures well, but isn't a high-performance thermal solution by any stretch. With a 125W heat load applied, the Alpine 64's rise above ambient temperature of 30.5°C is pretty nice considering noise levels remained at 43.9 dBA

Cooled-Case: Alpine 7
